    • Windows 10 - From the search bar on the bottom left of the screen, type 'Control' and a search will come up as you are typing. Click the Control Panel option.
  2. Choose the Uninstall a Program, or Programs and Features option. In Windows XP, this will be called Add or Remove Programs
  1. A list of programs should be displayed. Find VIPRE and click Uninstall/Change or Change/Remove to begin the uninstall process.

  1. A prompt will appear asking to Remove or Repair VIPRE. Choose Remove
  2. The next prompt will ask to keep or remove data files. Choose 'Yes, remove all items, then click Next.
  • I'm running into an issue more and more with our Vipre Business Premium 5.0 Installation. What appears to be happening is when we change out a machine or one dies, the agents stay in the console. When we try to manually remove them from the catalog they wont budge. It didn't use to be this way but is getting worse and worse.
  • Choose Remove and then click Next. Make sure No, do not remove data files is selected (this is the default) and then click Next. Save any open files and then select Yes to restart your computer. Install VIPRE version 9.3. Open the previously downloaded VIPRE version 9.3 installation file.
  1. Click Remove to begin the removal process. This may take several minutes.
  2. After the removal process, click Finish then restart the computer if prompted.

If you're unable to uninstall VIPRE from the Control Panel, see How to manually uninstall VIPRE Home or Contact Support for further assistance.

From time to time, circumstances may require the removal of VIPRE without the assistance of the Windows Installer. Should an instance requiring this removal be encountered, the instructions below outline the process.
Ensure you have attempted to uninstall the Agent through Add/Remove Programs or Programs & Features.
If this fails, run the following in an Elevated Command Prompt (Depending on the installed Version):

MsiExec.exe /x {GUID} /qf /l*v '%temp%VIPRE_MsiUninstall.log' REMOVE=ALL
